1. Our philosophy: Privacy by design

At OToolbox, we believe your files and data belong only to you. That's why we've designed our tools under the "Local-First" processing principle.

2. What data do we process and how?

2.1. Files (Images, Texts, JSON)

Most of our tools (PDF Converter, Word Counter, JSON Formatter) run natively in your web browser.

  • Your files are NEVER uploaded to our servers.
  • We cannot see, read, store or access the documents you process.
  • All processing consumes resources from your own device.

2.2. "Remove Background" Tool (Hybrid)

Our image background removal tool uses a hybrid approach:

  • Cloud Mode (High Quality): To deliver professional results, your image might be sent through a secure API to a third-party provider (e.g. Remove.bg). If this happens, the image is processed by their servers and returned to you. According to their policies, images are processed temporarily and are not stored for other purposes.
  • Local Mode (Local AI): If API credits run out, the tool downloads an AI model to your browser (cache) and processes the image 100% locally, without sending the photo to any external server.

2.3. Contact and Suggestion Forms

If you decide to use our contact form or suggestion box, we will collect the information you choose to provide us (such as your name, email and message).

  • Purpose: Only to read your suggestions, fix bugs or reply to you if you requested it.
  • Storage: These messages are sent directly to our email inbox. We do not create marketing databases with them nor sell your email to third parties.

3. Cookies and Tracking (Analytics)

To understand which tools are the most useful and to improve the platform, we may use web analytics services (like Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics or privacy-friendly alternatives). These tools may collect anonymous data such as your country, browser, or visited pages. We do not use intrusive advertising cookies.

4. Your Rights

Since we don't store user accounts or save your files, we don't have databases from which you need to be deleted. If you ever communicated with us via email/form and want us to delete that conversation, you can request it by contacting us.
